This is a high bow version of the 70mm barrette. Sort of a cross between a regular barrette and a ponytail holder. The bend of the barrette is more then typical. Also keep in mind the distance across the radius is a bit longer then straight across. Best to figure something like 3.25 inches for the actual piece used to cover the top of the barrette. As many of my customers are aware the company that produced "MADE IN FRANCE" auto lock barrettes is no longer making them.  We have been looking for an alternative.  This is the barrette we are now offering as a substitute for high quality French barrettes. We think it meets the objective. It is an identical copy as far as I can discern. This barrette uses the same auto lock design with a 2 piece construction as opposed to the 3 pieces typically found on the cheaper barrettes.  This barrette is made in Asia, but so are iphones so not all things have quality issues.  They come stamped  as  CLIP PARIS . You and I know why that is on there.  My feeling is the quality of the clip will live up to the French brand.  I do not see any other options moving forward at this time.  Happy to hear feedback on them.
